This year I attended the World AIDS Day service at First United Methodist Church in midtown, Sacramento.  The service was introduced by Pastor Rod Brayfindley, but then moved seamlessly from one artistic performance to the next.  The performers included the Sacramento Women's Chorus (with pianist Jane Stave-Meister), solo pianist Cliff Shockley, Coleen Chandler and Tandy Bowman, drag performer Relent Lace and the Sacramento Gay Men's Chorus small group Boy Howdy.  The service was sweet, spiritual, moving and even uplifting.
