Salute to Veterans

AUBURN, CA – NOV. 11, 2021, “Salute to Veterans” These images come from today’s Veteran’s Day Parade. This was the 103rd year of the event, held in downtown Auburn. The parade is one of the largest in the country. Happy 4th!

Here are some images from this year\’s 4th of July Parade and then one extra composite fireworks image.  I started up at the beginning of the event near Cherry Street, finding a little pocket of shade near some Auburn police volunteers.  The Auburn police honor guard, in full black wool uniforms (!) also came to share the shade, along with a few bystanders. St. Patrick’s Day Car Parade

Here are some images from this year\’s St. Patrick\’s Day Car Parade.  I walked 10 minutes from my studio to the intersection of High Street and Lincoln Way, where I like shooting these events.  At the bottom of the little hill there, I can get some of the cool, older buildings that are part of downtown Auburn.  Families often congregate near the clock and small courtyard, so that makes it easy for catching candids.
