Venice Travel Photography

This is a selection of Venice travel photography images taken from in September 2022. It was a total bucket trip for me. Venice had fascinated me for year. I even used an image of the Grand Canal in my self-portrait with carnaval mask that is my branded logo. (FYI, it’s the first image on my homepage slideshow.)

As you may know, Venice is often referred to as “The Floating City.” It’s a unique and utterly enchanting destination located in northeastern Italy. Known for its intricate network of canals, historic architecture, and artistic heritage, Venice is a popular tourist spot and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We stayed at the beautiful (bellissimo!) Hotel San Cassiano Cà Favretto. It was a huge Grand Canal splurge and I don’t regret it for an instant. It’s a 4-star hotel in the heart of the city. “Ca’ Favretto”, is the name of the historic building itself. It was the home of the famous 19th century painter Giacomo Favretto, it offers 36 rooms, and some, like ours, have a breathtaking view of the Grand Canal. I mean, you are right on it!

Located in the Santa Croce district, the hotel was just a few minutes’ walk from Rialto, the famous market area and the Mercerie, the shopping street that connects Rialto to Saint Mark.
