These photographs were made over a lot of years in Sacramento, California, approximately 2011 to the present. Until 2014 I lived in the state’s capital and thoroughly enjoyed it. When I first started getting more serious about photography, I decided to focus on Sacramento’s major landmarks as I would within the genre of travel photography: the Capitol, Old Sacramento, and downtown. I had a cropped sensor Olympus camera. They I moved further out along the American River, focusing for a long time on the many bridges we have in the area. My photography program brought me back to the downtown core, and I started upgrading my equipment as budget allowed. Since then, I spend most of my time locally covering events. But every now and then, like the car show at the theater, I just have to catch something going on.
