Happy Valentines Day 2021 to lovers everywhere!
Hereʻs an image I took on the South Bank of London on the Thames a few years back. They appeared to be a middle-aged couple taking in the beauty of the summer evening.
The South Bank area is super fun, hip and a great place for street and candid photography. If you donʻt know it, look for the brilliant neon red London Eye ferris wheel. You canʻt miss it! According to Wikipedia,
South Bank is an entertainment and commercial district in central London, next to the River Thames opposite the City of Westminster. It forms a narrow strip of riverside land within the London Borough of Lambeth (where it adjoins Albert Embankment) and the London Borough of Southwark, (where it adjoins Bankside). As such, South Bank may be regarded as somewhat akin to the riverside part of an area known previously as Lambeth Marsh and North Lambeth.
Itʻs simply a “must-shoot” during any London trip, by day or night. Of course, the neon lights and reflections on the Thams make it really eye candy at night. The commuter boats that run up and down the river make it that much easier to get off at multiple stops to shoot, then jump back on and work your way up and down the waterway. Enjoy and happy shooting! 📷.
